Day by day itinerary

Day 1
Depart UK

Start your holiday in style with included airport lounge access before your overnight flight to Delhi, India's pulsating capital.

Days 2-3
Delhi

Arrive at Delhi International Airport, where you'll transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing and adjusting to your new surroundings. The next day, you'll enjoy a chef-led walk through Old Delhi’s bustling markets, sampling 12–15 dishes from 6–9 legendary food stalls, some over 120 years old. Ride rickshaws, explore vibrant bazaars and gain insider insight into the city’s culinary traditions.

After lunch, continue to New Delhi, designed by Lutyens and Baker in the 1920s with grand boulevards and Mughal-style gardens. Drive along Rajpath past India Gate, commemorating 70,000 soldiers of WWI, and see the President’s House and Parliament. Visit UNESCO sites including Humayun’s Tomb, an early Mughal masterpiece in red sandstone and marble, and Qutab Minar, a 72.5m victory tower surrounded by ancient mosques and gateways.

Day 4
Agra

After breakfast, you'll be collected by your driver for the journey to Agra. Explore the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former seat of Mughal power. Known as Lal Qila or the Red Fort of Agra, this vast walled city was home to emperors Babur, Humayun, Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb, and once housed India’s largest treasury and mint. Walk through its ornate chambers, imagining the grandeur of a court that shaped history.

As you drive through Agra, witness the vibrant life of its streets and bustling bazaars, where everyday India unfolds in colourful scenes. Located just 2.5 km from the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort remains one of the country’s most important monuments, visited by dignitaries and travellers for centuries.

Admire its perfect symmetry, delicate ornamentation and serene gardens inspired by visions of paradise.

After breakfast, drive to Fatehpur Sikri. Once the Mughal capital, this deserted city is a masterpiece of 16th-century architecture. Explore its grand courtyards and palaces, imagining the splendour of Akbar’s court before its mysterious abandonment. Later, you'll arrive in Jaipur, Rajasthan's vibrant “Pink City”, where colourful bazaars and stately architecture await.

Nearby lies Jantar Mantar, an extraordinary 18th-century observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh. Its monumental instruments, including the Brihat Samrat Yantra sundial, still provide precise astronomical readings today.

In the evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration with a local family – a warm introduction to India’s legendary hospitality. Share stories, learn traditional recipes and experience the Sanskrit dictum Atithi Devo Bhava – “The guest is truly your god.”
