A majestic old mansion tucked away in the heart of old Jaipur
City | History & culture
Charming and majestic, the Samode Haveli is a 200-year-old mansion tucked away in the heart of the old city surrounded by gardens, courtyards and terraces. The term ‘haveli' means a grand house with an inner courtyard built by wealthy merchants or nobility, as a testimony to their status. The mansion is home to some fabulous frescoes and murals, a leafy garden, and is a quiet and restful haven in the heart of busy Jaipur.
Built over a number of centuries, these former royal residencies are now deluxe rooms and suites. With only 29 individually decorated guestrooms, the Samode Haveli Resort is considered a boutique hotel. The guest rooms feature antique furnishings with modern equipment like satellite TVs. With its heritage décor, the accommodation is perfect for a romantic break.
The Dining Hall serves the finest Rajasthani cuisine. Breakfast is enjoyed in the courtyard under the shade of the trees, where you can listen to the charming chirruping of the birds. Stunning murals decorate the interior, and after dinner there is a live traditional song and dance show. Retire to the lounge or the bar for a few post meal beverages.
Babysitting services are available for couples that want to spend quiet evenings alone. Be sure to pamper yourself at the onsite spa, or take a dip in the beautiful open-air swimming pool.
