You'll also have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the facilities at the lodge from where there are regular sightings of local wildlife including Stellar sea lions, orca and humpback whales.

Day by day itinerary
Juneau to Windham Bay Lodge
Spend a morning exploring Juneau's attractions before departing aboard the Windham Bay Lodge catamaran. Cruise past the stunning scenery of the Stephens Passage coastline to Windham Bay Lodge where you'll be greeted with a welcome introduction, cocktails and a delicious dinner of local specialities. An informal presentation on the history of the region rounds off the day, before you head to bed in your comfortable lodge accommodation, anticipating the adventures that lay ahead.
Hobart Bay Adventure Camp
After breakfast your Windham Bay Lodge adventure begins as you enjoy a morning exploring Hobart Bay, piloting your very own Zego Runabout boat. After lunch you'll head out on an all-terrain vehicle to explore the local countryside before returning to the lodge and spending the rest of the day relaxing. In the evening you'll enjoy a superb dinner and entertainment by the lodge staff.
Today you'll head to Admiralty Island, also known as "Fortress of the Bear" for wilderness exploration and a wildlife safari. Spend the day kayaking and walking the beach in search of native animals that include a large population of grizzly bears. After a beach side lunch, return to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon before dinner and evening entertainment.
After breakfast at the lodge you'll paddle across the bay to a beautiful waterfall before hiking through the forest to explore the ruins of the early settlements in Windham Bay. A picnic lunch at a scenic lookout over the Chuck River Wilderness is followed by an afternoon at the lodge for some free time before rejoining your group for dinner.
Fjords and glaciers
Depart after breakfast aboard the Windham Bay catamaran to explore the glacial wilderness of Tracy Arm and/or Endicott Arm fjords. Enjoy a picnic lunch aboard the catamaran and spend the day kayaking near the glaciers or take a side trip to Sumdum Bay or Ford's Terror before returning to the lodge in the afternoon. This evening, as well as a sumptuous dinner, you'll be served cocktails cooled by your freshly harvested glacial ice. End the day with an optional walk along one of the local riverbeds.
Day at leisure
Today the choice is yours. Spend some time relaxing at the lodge or embark on one of the many activities that include kayaking, hiking and wildlife tours. In the evening a farewell dinner will be accompanied by a slideshow celebrating your week in the Alaskan wilderness.
Depart Windham Bay Lodge aboard the lodge's catamaran. As you head back to Juneau you'll enjoy a final trip through Stephen's Passage, exploring the coast of Admiralty Island.
