Introducing American Countess

This is the latest addition to American Queen's paddleboat fleet, christened as recently as 2021. Offering many of the same exciting heartland and Deep South itineraries as her sisters the American Queen and American Duchess, it was built from an existing hull and underwent significant reconstruction, most notably the lengthening of the boat by some 60 feet. However, despite the renovations, guests still enjoy the signature distinctions of the fleet which they have come to know and love, making it the most award-winning river cruise line in the whole of the USA.

Features and amenities

With anything from five to 16-day itineraries, American Countess is built with comfort and space in mind. Featuring four decks, including a Sun Deck and 123 sleek and contemporary staterooms in four categories, American Countess has everything to become a home away from home for the duration of your trip. Cabins range from inside staterooms to outside staterooms with an open veranda as well as deluxe outside staterooms with a private veranda, effortlessly hosting up to 245 guests. 

The paddleboat's award-winning culinary team takes full advantage of each region's diverse bounty of fresh, local ingredients to fashion authentic dishes in the Grand Dining Room, while a more casual atmosphere is offered in the River Grill, allowing guests to dine at their own pace. Evening Broadway-calibre performances are hosted in The Theatre on board, the perfect place to enjoy an after-dinner cocktail. Elsewhere, American Countess features a well-appointed Fitness Centre, a quiet Card Room as well as souvenirs in the Gift Shop.
