Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is a traditional tented safari camp, which is set among 260,000 acres of untamed African bush in a private concession in the Okavango Delta, bordering the southern section of the famous Moremi Game Reserve. The main communal area in the camp affords magnificent views over the floodplain in front of the camp, which offers guests excellent opportunities to see big game and rare wild dogs pass. The camp is also home to a unique elephant interacting activity in partnership with the Living Elephants Foundation.
There are eight canvas tents at Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp; each is individually designed but all have a classic and understated elegance that harks back to the explorers of the 19th century. Each en suite tent has a large wooden deck area where guests can relax in hammocks, and features an indoor shower, ceiling fan, an in-room safe as well as complimentary Wi-Fi.
All meals and snacks are included in your stay at the camp. Breakfast is served before the morning game activity and is a continental or a full English. Lunch is enjoyed back at the lodge and consists of a three-course meal with a vegetarian option. Afternoon game drives include classic sundowner cocktails and canapés. Finally, you can enjoy dinner either on your room’s deck, or in the spectacular dining mess.
The highlight of the camp are its game viewing opportunities that include game drives, mokoro excursions, and walking safaris. Its most special feature is the unique elephant interaction activity provided by a non-profit charity giving you the opportunity to walk with three orphaned elephants in the bush.
