This three-night break introduces you first to Valencia's Pintxos food scene, before you discover the historic and modern sides of this diverse city.Enjoy a Paella masterclass with a Valencian local, and sit back and compare with a locally cooked Paella served beside the rice paddies of Albufera. UK > Valencia
After a complimentary airport lounge visit, a short flight transports you to Valencia on the South eastern tip of Spain with its Mediterranean coastline and climate, it is the third largest city in Spain. There is a wide choice of transfers or taxis for your journey to the city centre from the airport which takes just 20-30 minutes. Enjoy your day at leisure enjoying the hotel, or exploring the surrounding winding streets, before meeting your local guide for an evening of Tapas and wine, as you are given an in-depth understanding of local pintxos, wines and beers, walking between hand-selected Pintxos bars.

Valencia City sights and private Paella workshop
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, before meeting your private guide in mid morning for a tour of the city sights of Valencia, discover the history and culture of the city, and enjoy getting lost in the winding streets of the Ciutat Vella - the Old City.
Unearth the secrets of the famous City of Arts and Sciences and venture through the medieval city gates to enter the bustling, pedestrian historic city centre and its ancient Roman ruins, Saint Mary’s Cathedral, the Mercado Central. View La Lonja Silk Exchange, the prized UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s greatest examples of gothic architecture.
You will then be transported to high flat with amazing views of City of Arts, where you will take part in a paella cooking workshop with a proud Valencian host, cooking on her outdoor terrace, accompanied by "entrantes", wine and olive tasting, you will sample a true Valencian lunchtime treat, and be dropped back to your hotel in the late afternoon, you will learn why dinner is the lightest meal of the day.

Albufera Nature Reserve
After breakfast, you will be picked up for the short drive to L'Albufera National Park, home to Spain's largest lake, it's primarily used for fishing and the cultivation of rice fields, but is also popular due to excellent bird watching and boat tours.
Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing tour of the different landscape and ecosystem, exploring the lagoon, rice paddies and wild bird park, before enjoying lunch at one of the lakeside paella restaurants, where a choice of Valencian paella of chicken and rabbit or lobster paella awaits you. The rest of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, depending on your flight time, either spend more time relaxing at your hotel, or explore more of Valencia before making your way to the airport for your flight home.
