Day by day itinerary
Day
1
UK/Miami
After enjoying complimentary airport-lounge access, your day flight will see you to Miami, where you'll make your way to the stylised chic of your South Beach Hotel. It's the perfect introduction to Miami’s Art Deco architecture. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have a chance to stroll along the seafront, admiring the impressive buildings, and the relaxed and feel-good west coast atmosphere.
Stay: Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Miami (Superior)
Day
2
Miami
You’ll then have a full day to explore the sleek modernist curves of Miami Beach Architectural District. Founded in 1979, it features 960 historic buildings that include ornate hotels, streamlined delis and neon theatres. But Miami is much more than its heritage buildings as many see little else apart from its iconic beaches, just across from your hotel. There’s also a wide selection of fine dining restaurants – the jewel in the crown of the city’s lively nightlife scene. Alternatively, head into the wildlife rich Everglades or take a trip to Little Havana to experience the culture and mouth-watering food of the city’s Latin side.
Stay: Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Miami (Superior)
Days
3-4
Islamorada
On your third day, continue your exploration of Miami before picking up your hire car as you head for the spectacular Islamorada. Known as the ‘Village of Islands’, Islamorada is home to raking sunsets and is the world’s self-proclaimed sport fishing capital. Head out with an expert guide to try and hook a tarpon or snook, or watch them in the wild on a scuba diving or snorkelling trip between the island’s wrecks and reefs.
Stay: Amara Cay Resort (Superior)
Days
5-7
Key West
A drive further along the Florida Keys archipelago will bring you to bohemian Key West where you can visit Ernest Hemingway’s Spanish colonial villa and writing studio. Convivial bars line Caribbean streets in a town that’s closer, quite literally, to Havana than it is the Florida mainland. As such, visitors will enjoy literary festivals and a thriving arts scene.
Stay: Casa Marina, Key West, Florida (Superior)
Days
8-9
Duck Key
Retrace your journey over Seven Mile Bridge to Duck Key; surrounded by aquamarine water, it’s another island paradise but this time with its own pod of dolphins. Get up close to them on swimming experiences in the resort’s freshwater lagoon. Unsurprisingly, watersports take centre stage as you can snorkel, paddle board, kayak, scuba dive and fish to your heart’s content. If you’re looking for something more relaxing, simply unwind at your beachfront hotel.
Stay: Hawks Cay Resort, Duck Key (Superior)
Days
10-11
Depart for UK
On your final day in America, return your car to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
