Introduction
The Florida Panhandle is the place to enjoy some of the state's most beautiful beaches. Stretching between Perdido Key and Panama City Beach, there are quiet, pristine beaches and more lively resorts offering plenty of watersports, all at their best between April and July.
Pensacola Beach has miles of sand and a string of shops, hotels and bars to cater for the large crowds that gather here to sunbathe and swim, while Navarre Beach is quitter, but with good facilities nonetheless.
Destin attracts swimmers, water sports fans and deep-sea fisherman; Grayton has boardwalks leading across the dunes to one of America's finest beaches, while St Andrews has a superb beach, well protected against developers.
