Day by day itinerary
Sawai Madhopur – Ranthambore
The Ranthambore National Park was once the hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, before being turned into a game sanctuary in 1955, and in 1980 it was made a national park. It was also included in Project Tiger in 1972, an initiative set up to protect tigers in the wild. The park is famous for its tigers and due to conservation efforts the tiger population has stabilised if not increased. Tigers can be spotted quite regularly, even in the middle of the day, either hunting and taking care of their young. But that's not all it has to offer. It's also rich in other flora and fauna, including mammals and reptiles, as well as over 300 species of vegetation. After lunch, you'll head out on your first game drive in the park.

With another full day to explore, you'll take an early morning game drive at Ranthambore before returning to your hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, a second safari of the day offers even more opportunities to take in the park's flora and fauna.
