A grand, Edwardian-era hotel built in the 1900s, Victoria Falls Hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens, lily ponds and century-old shaded trees. The iconic hotel is situated 22km from Victoria Falls airport, and is located just a 10-minute walk from one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: Victoria Falls.
Victoria Falls Hotel provides 161 rooms, ranging from standard and deluxe rooms to executive suites. All rooms feature high ceilings, dark wood furnishings and spacious en suite bathrooms – some with freestanding baths.
There are three restaurants, including the superb Livingstone Room, whose seven-course degustation menu and award-winning wine list is a genuine highlight. Stanley’s Terrace boasts breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls Bridge, the Batoka Gorge and the Zambezi River, whilst offering snacks, light lunches, traditional afternoon teas, cocktails and dinner. The Jungle Junction serves continental breakfasts and lavish buffets infused with African flavours, as local tribes perform traditional dance and music in the evening.
The hotel has its own ‘activity centre’, where a vast range of activities are on offer, including horse riding, parasailing, golfing and canoeing. For the more adventurous, white water rafting, jet boating, abseiling, bungee jumping and gorge swinging are also on offer. Other facilities include a spa, a gym and a colonial-style swimming pool.
