The hotel is ideally positioned at the edge of the vibrant Blue Mountain Village, near the southern shores of Georgian Bay, and at the foot of Blue Mountain itself. Two hours’ north-west of Toronto and Pearson International Airport by car, the Blue Mountain resort is not only the largest ski resort in Ontario but also popular all year round for its location and range of activities. The Westin is perfectly situated for visitors, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village and the slopes of the mountain.

The hotel restaurant is part of the Oliver & Bonacini group, one of Canada’s leading fine dining restaurant companies. The Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with outdoor seating available in winter and large windows looking out on to the millpond. The adjacent bar and lounge offers pizzas and bar snacks alongside its extensive drinks menu. The hotel is a short walk away from the myriad dining options available in the village, while room service options are available up to midnight.

There are a range of rooms and suites available, but high levels of comfort and space are consistent throughout. Even the smallest guest rooms offer a kitchenette, seating area, gas fireplace and balcony. The suite range includes single-bedroom (some with adjoining den or loft space), two-bedroom, or three-bedroom options, all with private balcony or walk-out terrace. Larger suites include a fully-equipped kitchen and master bedrooms with full en-suite bathrooms, while the top-of-the-range 1500 sq ft. Trillium Suite features a two-storey cathedral ceiling with a wall of windows overlooking the village and millpond.

Whatever the time of year, the Blue Mountain resort on the hotel’s doorstep offers a range of activities for guests to enjoy: golfing, hiking, mountain biking, tennis and more in summer; in winter, the 15 lifts and 42 trails of Ontario’s largest ski terrain. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing excursions are also available and the pond in front of the hotel turns into a convenient skating arena. The hotel has access to a private beach on the shores of Georgian Bay in summer and its own heated outdoor pool in winter.
