Location
This luxurious hotel stretches along the banks of the Zambezi River, just a short walk to the entrance of Victoria Falls in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. Victoria Falls is known as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Accommodation
The hotel is named after the explorer Dr. David Livingstone and it's interior design reflects the elegance of days gone by using an African architectural style. The Royal Livingstone Hotel consists of 17 colonial-style buildings, featuring a total of 173 elegant rooms and suites, all with private verandas and Victorian bathrooms.
Dining
Enjoy a six o'clock sundowner on one of the hotel's sundecks overlooking the Zambezi before heading to the Royal Livingstone Dining Room, where you'll have the choice of dining inside at an intimate indoor table, or al fresco, where the sights and sounds of the river add the perfect soundtrack to your meal and, if you're luck, you might just see a zebra or giraffe wandering past along the river bank. Other options include the Monkey Tree, a wonderful a la carte restaurant offering romantic candlelit dining, and the Royal Livingstone Express, a unique dining venue aboard a historic steam locomotive. Guests can also enjoy the hotel's famous afternoon tea, served every day at 3pm.
Facilities
The Royal Livingstone offers a spacious and stylish lounge, a restaurant and bar, a spa and swimming pool, 24-hour room service, butler service, beauty salon, a kids' club and baby-sitting facilities and a host of activities for guests to explore the many delights of Victoria Falls and the landscapes and wildlife of the Zambezi River.
