Location
Boasting a beautiful location on the west coast of Vancouver Island getting to Sonora is easy. You can board a seaplane or helicopter from Vancouver for a scenic 50 minute flight or arrive by water taxi from Campbell River, which takes just over an hour.
Accommodation
Sonora Resort offers guests a range of luxury accommodation options, with tasteful furnishings, sumptuous private bathrooms, modern amenities and wonderful views across the ocean and coastal mountain range. All of the resort's rooms offer a cosy escape after an exciting day exploring the Canadian wilderness, with queen or king size beds, high quality linen, stylish yet welcoming décor and goose-down duvets.
Dining
The Tyee Dining Room faces the sea and is overseen by Head Chef Terry Pichor; it is a true feast for the eyes and the palate using the finest west coast ingredients. You can enjoy the Chef’s Tasting Menu which changes daily or choose from an a La Carte menu that changes seasonally. There is also an extensive wine cellar.
Facilities
Guests at Sonora Resort can enjoy a wide range of exciting outdoor activities and adventures, including hiking, kayaking, fly-fishing, helicopter tours, wilderness tours and more. The luxurious Island Currents Spa offers a haven of tranquillity at the end of an adventure-packed day. There's also a pool, gym, tennis courts and the 18-hole Storey Creek Golf Course, which has won the Golf Digest Places to Play award for the last three years. A stay at Sonora is inclusive of all meals, beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, (additional charges may apply for premium spirits and wine), complimentary Wi-Fi and use of the resort facilities.
