Location
Sitting above the Chobe River, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is a luxurious riverside retreat in the heart of the bush, on the edge of Chobe National Park. Offering unparalleled panoramic views of the islands and floodplains, the lodge is accessible by road and air. Kasane has its own international airport, located 10 minutes away by road.
Accommodation
This luxurious lodge holds 14 guest cottages, three family suites and one romantic honeymoon suite. Each of the guest cottages feature an indoor and outdoor shower and en suite bathroom with large free-standing bath. Cottages also include private gardens, where gourmet dinners can be enjoyed privately. The honeymoon suite has a private plunge pool and decking area, and benefits from a private vehicle and guide for all game viewing activities.
Dining
Meals at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero are all freshly prepared, using local produce and ingredients to create a personalised service, tailored to all culinary preferences and needs. Breakfasts include hearty full English and continental spreads, while lunches vary from creating your own pizzas to three-course plated meals. Sundowner drinks and canapés are offered, whilst pre-dinner drinks on the terrace are enjoyed before a three-course dinner.
Facilities
Game drives occur twice daily, with elephants featuring largely on any itinerary. Other wildlife include hippos, buffalo, impala, lions and leopard. Take a photographic safari cruise along the Chobe River or a sundowner cruise for something a little different. Make full use of the lodge's facilities such as the split-level swimming pool and authentic African Spa, offering a range of services including massages, facials and beauty treatments.
