A safari haven- the most environmentally friendly lodge in Africa
Activity adventure | Natural world | Off the beaten track | Safari | Wildlife
Almost invisible from its surroundings-located in a slope in the earth, Earth lodge is a safari haven, described as the most environmentally friendly lodge in Africa. Sabi Game Reserve is easily accessed, by either road or air: the fastest and most convenient option to get to the Game Reserve is making use of the scheduled charter flight from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg; alternatively, the drive from Johannesburg is approximately 5.5 hours.
Ultimate luxury is guaranteed in 13 suites, all of which feature an indoor and outdoor shower, individually designed furniture in addition to a private plunge pool. Included in the 13 suites is Amber Suite, a celebration of generous space, featuring an egg-shaped bath and boasting its own steam room, study and kitchen.
Ensuring an unforgettable dining experience, an indoor/outdoor eatery overlooks a watering hole and unending Bushveld. Dishes vary, but always produce excellent cuisine and a selection of fine wines across many dining locations, including the veranda under the stars, the subterranean wine cellar, in the traditional boma, a dining room or even out in the wild.
Guests are offered an exciting insight into the African bush and its wildlife with daily game drives and bush walks. Visitors can explore safari reserve in an eye open experience, viewing flora, fauna, small animals and an abundance of migrating wildlife, including leopard, antelope, elephant and rhino in the comfort of a 4x4 safari vehicle and accompanied by a ranger and tracker. Earth Lodge provides a welcome break from the traditional safari lodge, with a Zen garden and Amani Spa within the main lodge.
