Starting May 1 2018, British Airways will commence a thrice-weekly service to Toronto, making it the airline’s first Canadian route from Gatwick.
It comes after news that the British flag carrier will introduce new transatlantic services to Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco Oakland for next summer, along with flights to Las Vegas from London Gatwick to supplement its existing Heathrow route. It all follows British Airways’ multimillion-pound investment in Gatwick Airport, which included a new Club World lounge.
Sean Doyle, British Airways’ director of networks and alliances, was buoyant: “Adding Toronto and Las Vegas to the summer schedule will take the number of transatlantic routes to 21, making Canada, the US and the Caribbean more accessible than ever before.”
