In 2018, British Airways launched a new route between Heathrow Terminal 5 and the Seychelles, making it the only airline to offer a non-stop service from the UK.
Flights take off twice weekly, ideal for a winter sun escape. Departing Wednesdays and Saturdays, the timetable is set up for an immersive seven-day, 10-day or 2-week trip, perfect whether you’re on a honeymoon or family holiday. You’ll even be treated to the airline’s newest fleet of aircraft – the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Expect smoother flights, larger in-seat entertainment screens and British Airways’ latest First cabin.
And, what an escape the Seychelles offers. A paradise of white sand, sea turtles and coral reefs, only a handful of its hundred-strong collection of islands are inhabited. As such, it lacks the crowds of other long-haul beach destinations, pairing quiet relaxation with everything from windsurfing and sailing to hiking and snorkelling. Then, at the end of it all, you’ll return to some of the world’s finest hotels.
