The charms of the Deep South just got that bit closer; beginning May of next year, British Airways will launch direct flights between London and Nashville.
As such, it will be the only airline to fly non-stop between Europe and the Tennessee capital, with the service set to operate five times a week from Heathrow Terminal Five. It will be served by a B787-8, Boeing’s latest Dreamliner making the journey in a very reasonable nine hours – down from 12.
This comes as Nashville welcomed a record number of visitors in 2016. And, it should come as no surprise, with the ‘Music City’ host to a full range of cultural attractions. Everything from country twangs to the soulful blues is showcased in world-famous studios and, of course, boot-stomping honky-tonk bars resplendent in bright neon. Then, after tasting your way through craft breweries and sticky-fingered chicken joints, there’s 12,000 acres of pretty parks to cycle through.
Inspired? Perhaps combine your trip with British Airways’ range of non-stop flights to the southern states, with routes to New Orleans and Atlanta perfect for a memorable Deep South road trip. Take a look at our itineraries below for more information.
