Staying at a lodge high up in the aurora zone, away from artificial light and tucked deep in the Arctic wilderness, you'll spend three nights on the hunt for the Northern Lights in Nellim, one of the best spots in which to see the aurora. And, you'll get to partake in classic winter activities including husky sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing in the company of expert guides.

UK/Nellim
Fly to Ivalo in Finnish Lapland via Helsinki and transfer to the Wilderness Hotel Nellim. Surrounded by Lappish countryside and close to Lake Inari, the Wilderness Hotel Nellim offers cosy and rustic full-board accommodation in the form of hotel rooms, apartments and cabins, complemented by a communal lounge, dining area and separate sauna. In the evening, you'll enjoy your first of many included meals and if conditions are favourable, your first chance to spot the aurora from just outside the hotel.

2
Dogsleds & snowshoes
This morning you’ll harness up the huskies, take the reins and set off on a three-hour dogsled safari across frozen Lake Inari. Lunch will be served at the hotel's restaurant, followed by an afternoon at leisure. After dinner, head out into the darkness, this time on snowshoes, in search of the Aurora Borealis.

3
Snowmobiling
One of the most exciting ways to experience the wilds of Finnish Lapland is by snowmobile. After a lesson from your instructor you'll head out into the snow-laden landscapes surrounding the hotel. Enjoy the day in the pristine wilderness, while the evening brings a final chance to experience the Lappish night and see the Northern Lights from a secluded Aurora camp.
