Beginning with two nights at the Elite Plaza Hotel in Gothenburg's historic centre, you'll move up the coast to stay at three elegant hotels - Villa Sjotorp, Stora Hotellet Bryggan and Bjertorp Slott – each one known for its outstanding service, gourmet food and traditional country house charm.
Day by day itinerary
Fly to Gothenburg and transfer to the Clarion Collection Hotel Odin, centrally located and offering complimentary afternoon pastries and light dinner daily. Take a boat trip along the canals, explore the city's excellent museums and browse through the arts and crafts shops in the old city. Gothenburg's citizens enjoy 175 square metres each of green space, so be sure to visit some of the city's beautiful parks and botanical gardens.

Your adventures in west Sweden come to an end. Drive back to Gothenburg's international airport in time for your onward flight to the UK.
There are few better ways to explore the landscapes of rural Sweden than by taking a cruise along the 19th century Gota Canal, which stretches from Gothenburg to Stockholm via an interconnecting series of canals, rivers and lakes.
