Staying at simple yet comfortable accommodation you'll journey from Anchorage on Alaska's southern coast to the Denali National Park and Mount McKinley - the highest peak in North America. From there you'll travel through the heart of Alaska, stopping at a number of rural communities and sampling some of North America's most breathtaking wilderness before arriving in the Canadian territory of Yukon where you'll encounter spectacular glacial landscapes, incredible wildlife and historic gold-rush towns.

London - Anchorage
Upon arrival you'll be met and provided with travel documents and a travel guide. Collect your hire car and spend your first night in downtown Anchorage.

2-3
Denali National Park
Drive north on the Glenn and Park Highways to spectacular Denali National Park, home to Mt. McKinley - North America's highest peak. Stop en route in the quaint township of Talkeetna and join an optional flightseeing tour, guided hiking or perhaps a jetboat tour.
Spend the next day exploring Denali National Park, catch the Denali Park Shuttle Bus and jump off at wildlife viewing spots where you may see bear, moose, caribou and Dall sheep, join one of a number of optional guided hikes or head off on your own adventure.

Fairbanks
Continue your journey north to Fairbanks, Alaska's 'Golden Heart City'. As you travel through Alaska's breathtaking Interior keep an eye out for wildlife and numerous photo opportunities along the way.
Enjoy a city tour of Fairbanks, a visit to Gold Dredge No. 8 which once extracted 8 million ounces of gold and take a cruise along the Chena and Tanana Rivers on an authentic sternwheeler riverboat. Lunch at Steamboat Landing is included.

Tok
Travel along the Richardson and Alaska Highways to Tok, also known as the 'Main Street to Alaska'.

Dawson City
Your journey continue along the 'Top of the World' highway and into Canada to Dawson City, a historic Gold Rush town, once one of North America's liveliest towns. Dawson City is well preserved with original buildings and unpaved roads.
Spend a free day in Dawson City exploring. Optional activities include gold panning excursions and a night at Diamond Tooth Gertie's gambling hall. We also recommend a guided tour along the Dempster Highway for fantastic views of the Tombstone Mountains.

Whitehorse
Make an early start for the scenic day driving to Whitehorse, the capital city of the Yukon.

Skagway
Tour Whitehorse at your leisure before driving back into Alaska, to Skagway where you'll drop off your car. Stroll along Skagway's board-walks and have a drink at the famous Red Onion Saloon an authentic gold-rush era style bar.

Juneau
Fly out of Skagway to Juneau. Upon arrival transfer to your downtown hotel and maybe take an optional city tour before enjoying an authentic Alaskan salmon bake this evening.

Glacier Bay
It's a 30-minute flight from Juneau to Gustavus for your stay at the Glacier Bay Lodge - nestled between the spruce trees at Bartlett Cove, it's the only accommodation within Glacier Bay National Park.
Spend the following day on the waters of Glacier Bay for close-up views of marine & coastal wildlife including whales, sea lions and eagles, massive glaciers and towering mountains. Tour includes lunch and is narrated by a National Park Service Ranger.

Juneau
Today, you will return to Juneau, where you will stay for one night at the Westmark Baranof Hotel, which is centrally located in downtown Juneau. A historic hotel that was built in 1939, it offers premier accommodation and is just minutes from the waterfront, cruise ship docks, boutique shopping and the State Capitol building.

Anchorage
Morning at leisure before flying back to Anchorage for your final night in Alaska.
