Spend the day discovering Amsterdam before your ship sets sail. With its elegant 17th-century canals, often earning it the title ‘Venice of the North’, the city charms with waterside townhouses, graceful bridges and a culture built around cycling and pedestrian-friendly streets. This morning, step aboard a glass-topped boat for a guided cruise along the canals, gliding past historic façades and lively quays. Afterwards, enjoy time at leisure to explore further before returning to your ship and bidding farewell to Amsterdam. Tonight, savour a special Welcome Dinner on board.

As you near the enchanting city of Cologne, admire the soaring twin spires of its iconic cathedral, the Kölner Dom – a masterpiece that took more than six centuries to complete. On arrival, travel to nearby Brühl for your Insider Experience at Augustusburg Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former residence of Archbishop-Elector Clemens August. Together with its Falkenlust hunting lodge, the palace stands as one of Germany’s finest examples of 18th-century rococo architecture. Stroll through its landscaped gardens and hear fascinating stories of its illustrious past. Later, return to Cologne for an afternoon at leisure, giving you time to explore the vibrant city centre at your own pace.

As you sail towards Cochem, relax on deck and take in some of Europe’s most picturesque scenery along the Moselle, where vine-clad hills and charming villages line the riverbanks. Later, join a guided walking tour through Cochem’s winding lanes, passing half-timbered houses and quaint squares before ascending to the fairytale-like Cochem Castle. Perched high above the river, this storybook fortress offers sweeping views of the Moselle and a glimpse into centuries of history.

Today’s journey is as scenic as ever, with the Rhine Gorge offering what is widely regarded as the most beautiful stretch of the river. Sit back and enjoy the views of vine-clad hills, medieval castles and charming villages as you cruise through this UNESCO-listed region. Later, arrive in Rüdesheim and board the Winzerexpress mini train for a visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of automated instruments. Afterwards, take time to wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town, and for a touch of festive cheer, call in at the famous Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas store for delightful decorations and gifts.

Today you’ll arrive in Strasbourg, an Alsatian gem straddling the French–German border. Enjoy an Insider Experience with a guided tour of the city’s enchanting old town, complete with a tasting of regional specialities. Stroll past half-timbered houses and canals as you uncover Strasbourg’s medieval heritage, including its magnificent cathedral. Along the way, pause to sample local flavours, from artisanal cheeses to sweet treats. This evening, return to your ship for a Farewell Dinner, a fitting finale to your journey.
