Introduction
The Llao Llao hotel is one of the best hotels in Patagonia and, some might argue, all of Argentina. It has a lovely and convenient location, close to the resort town of Bariloche in the foothills of the Andes, in the heart of Argentina's stunning Lake District region. It's design, meanwhile, reflects Swiss-German architecture, with pitched roofs and tall stone chimneys. Llao Llao first opened in the 1930s and provides luxury accommodation, a spa and an excellent restaurant. Its golf course is another draw, with Nahuel Huapi Lake in the foreground and the snow-capped peaks of the Andes in the distance.
Every year Llao Llao hosts one of Argentina's best classical music festivals, the Semana Musical Llao Llao. A stay at Llao Llao, coinciding with the festival, is an excellent addition to an Argentina holiday and easily incorporated into a luxury tailor made tour.
