Day 1
UK to Quito

Today you'll enjoy included airport lounge access before boarding your flight to Quito. Check in to your luxury accommodation, just a few kilometres from the city's historic centre.

Day 2
Quito

Today is free for you to explore Quito at your leisure. An ancient Incan city in the foothills of the Andes, it showcases a unique blend of architecture and history – a highlight is the magnificent 16th-century cathedral in the shadow of the Pichincha volcano. While you're here, sample a local delicacy – the quesedilla quiteña, filled with sweet queso and dipped in hot chocolate. Tonight, an included tour of Quito By Night features a guided drive by the Presidential Palace, Independence Plaza and San Francisco Church, illuminated by the twinkling city lights.

Day 3
Baltra & Daphne Major

Tranfer to the airport for your flight to Baltra, the gateway to the Galápagos. You might spot an iguana or two among the prickly pear cactus along the old air base runway here, as you board a Zodiac boat to take you to Silver Origin. By lunchtime, you'll arrive in Isla Daphne Grande, a volcanic tuff crater island close to Baltra's International Airport. Although scientists are the only people permitted ashore, you'll come up close to spy exotic Nazca and Blue-footed Boobies, Red-billed Tropicbirds, Frigatebirds, and Brown Noddies riding the sea breezes. Get to know the ship, your luxury suite and its many amenities before a multi-course dinner in the onboard restaurant.

Day 4
Bahia Darwin & El Barranco

Arrive at Genovesa Island today via Darwin Bay, an ancient volcanic crater now overtaken by the sea. Zodiac boats will take you ashore to a pretty beach dotted with marine iguanas and Galápagos sea lions, while a short walk inland will see you encountering nesting seabirds of all kinds. A scramble across a set of stone steps brings you to the island plateau at El Barranco, where you can see Nazca Boobies, Galápagos Mockingbirds, and Galápagos finches in their natural habitats. However, the absolute highlight of the day will be your arrival on the windward side of the island, where huge numbers of Wedge-Rumped Storm Petrels and the predatory Short-eared Owl soar above a vast lava field. Back in the bay, there's a chance to snorkel among large schools of reef fish and brightly coloured sea stars.

Day 5
Seymour Norte & Sullivan Bay

After a delicious breakfast on board, you'll land at Seymour Island onto black lava rock. A short climb brings you to a plateau, home to nursing sea lions, yellow Conolophus land iguanas and nesting frigatebirds. The land here is a patchwork of red-brown rocks and ancient volcanic lava, while the skies are dotted with female Magnificent Frigatebirds monitoring the males on the ground. At lunchtime, you'll continue to Santiago Island, to the lava fields at Sullivan Bay. This otherworldly terrain is dotted with bright red Sally Lightfoot crabs and some of the hardiest plant life. After some time exploring this rocky trails, you'll return to the beach for a swim in the crystal-clear surrounding waters.

Day 6
Rabida & El Edén Island

Today will see you visiting Rabida Island, known for its dramatic, richly-coloured landscapes. Zodiac boat will bring you ashore to a rusty red beach surrounded by cragged red cliffs. Snorkelling here will reveal everything from vibrant sea stars and urchins to schools of reef fish and the occasional reef shark in the deeper water. At lunchtime, you'll head to Eden Islet, a mangrove-laden paradise just off of Santa Cruz. Clamber across black volcanic boulders or kayak paddle through shallow waters, home to Pacific green sea turtles, eagle rays, reef sharks, marine iguanas, sea lions, and Sally Lightfoot crabs. Back on board, dine in one of the two onboard restaurants before relaxing around the fire pit in the Explorer Lounge.

Day 7
San Cristóbal & Punta Pitt

The adventure continues as you encounter one of the Galápagos Islands' most famed residents – the giant tortoise. Silver Origin will anchor off San Cristobal, where Zodiac boats will bring you ashore to picture-perfect Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. A short bus ride to the Galápaguera Cerro Colorado Tortoise Reserve brings you face-to-face with this majestic species, which can live to well past 100 years old. At lunchtime, the northern shore of San Cristóbal Island awaits, via a peninsula known as Punta Pitt. Its sandy beach is the perfect place to relax or gather pretty shells, while the more adventurous might take a long walk through the black basalt lava rocks and craggy island peaks. Back onboard, visit the interactive wall at Basecamp for more information on the region's fascinating flora and fauna.

Day 8
Gardner Bay & Punta Suarez

Begin today with a cruise past Isla Champion, a rocky outcrop surrounded by turquoise water. The clear visibility in the area makes this the perfect place to snorkel among Galápagos sea lions, reef sharks and Pacific green turtles. At lunchtime, you'll continue on to Punta Suárez, located at the western point of the oldest island in the Galápagos – Española. You'll have a good chance of spotting Swallow-tailed Gulls, Nazca Boobies and Blue-footed Boobies on the breeze in front of the sheer rock faces here, and between April and December, the largest of all the Galápagos birds, the Waved Albatross. Tonight, perhaps dine in the comfort of your suite – personal butler service is included.

Day 9
Estacion Darwin & South Plaza Island

Drop anchor at Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, where you can find the prestigious Charles Darwin Research Station and the celebrated Fausto Llerena Breeding Center for giant tortoises and land iguanas. You'll have time to explore the town's charming local art galleries and corner cafés, before heading to South Plaza, a tranquil island dotted with giant prickly pear cactus and a rich red undergrowth of ground-cover succulents. A large nesting colony of Swallow-tailed Gulls, as well as marine iguanas and Galápagos sea lions, can be spotted here. Tonight, enjoy a final dinner onboard as you reflect on your incredible journey.

Days 10-11
San Cristóbal Island, Galápagos

Tuck into a final breakfast onboard before leaving the ship in San Cristóbal and flying onwards to Guayaquil. If your onward flight to the UK departs after 10pm, you'll have access to a day room at Oro Verde Hotel before you head to the airport to catch your flight home, arriving the next day.
