Step foot into this welcoming resort and you’ll be greeted with a magnificent candlelit entrance hall modelled on a church from Teguise. There’s a tranquil lobby with beautiful foliage and a pretty waterfall set within a huge dome resembling a volcano.
Low-rise white-washed buildings are scattered throughout extensive gardens with beautiful pools, courtyards and terraces. There are daily activity and entertainment programmes.
There are three restaurants within the resort – you could begin your day with a glass of cava and fresh omelettes at La Florida Buffet, before enjoying an à la carte lunch at Spanish restaurant, Tasca Yaiza, or à la carte dinner at Rubicón, the Italian restaurant, five nights a week. There are a number of restaurants to choose from at the Marina Rubicón which can be accessed through the hotel’s pool area. The Marina also has shops, bars, a gallery and watersports.
The charming Mediterranean-style rooms are in 20 traditional houses and each has a soothing palette of blue, a living area, free Wi-Fi and a balcony or terrace. Standard Garden View Rooms have pool or garden views while Standard Sea View Rooms overlook the yachting harbour and have partial ocean views. For an indulgent stay, book one of the tranquil adults-only Club Volcán Rooms and enjoy access to an exclusive breakfast area, private terrace with views over the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura, heated pool with pool bar and a Jacuzzi. Junior Suites are large while Suites are even more spacious with a living room and expansive terrace or balcony.
