The Ritz-Carlton is located in the city of San Juan on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, and is perched on a two-mile stretch of a golden sandy beach. The hotel is one of San Juan’s most luxurious resorts, yet maintains a relaxed, laid back atmosphere. The resort is also only 15 minutes drive from the airport, and is close by to the cosmopolitan nightlife of Old San Juan.
The hotel has 416 well-appointed guest rooms, including one Ritz-Carlton Suite, six Executive Suites, and four Garden View Suites. Take a City View room for contemporary and sophisticated décor, and a luxurious bathroom with marble tiles, or an Oceanfront room for open-air vistas across the Atlantic. If you’d prefer a suite, they range from Pool View Junior Suites with views over the pool and lush gardens, or the Ritz-Carlton Suite for personal balconies off all rooms.
There are no shortage of dining options at the hotel, as it has five exceptional restaurants to choose from. BLT Steak offers refined steakhouse dining, with sleek, modern décor. Other options include the Il Mulino New York for Italian cuisine, Mares for traditional Caribbean food, and the Lobby Lounge for sushi and drinks. At lunch, visit the al fresco Ocean Bar and Grill, where you can enjoy sandwiches, pasta and salads.
The hotel has a fantastic 12,000 square-foot spa with 11 treatment rooms that focuses on holistic treatments featuring natural Puerto Rican produce, including coffee and coconut milk. Other facilities offered include a casino, tennis courts, a gym, access to the beach and a beachfront pool and Jacuzzi.
