The hotel was founded in 1919 by wealthy businessman Frederick William Vanderbilt, and has dramatic Atlantic Ocean views, a graceful Spanish revivalist style façade, and an opulent interior. After a recent renovation, the hotel has been restored to its former glory, with sweeping staircases and graceful archways still intact.
