Surrounded by the Lofoton Mountains, Nusfjord is an authentic fishing village, turned into a hotel
Fishing | Natural world | Northern Lights | Relaxation
Nusfjord is one of the oldest and best-preserved fishing villages, with scenic surroundings, encircled by steep mountains and idyllic and tranquil fishing grounds. Conveniently located with access to all the lively city of Ramberg has to offer, the hotel can most easily accessed by an internal flight to Leknes, from Bodo Airport.
Traditional fishing huts in authentic surroundings are used for lodging, accommodating up to 11 people maximum and either in Modern, Comfort, Traditional or Natural Heritage style-furnishings. Rooms include comfortable furnishings and premium bedding, balconies and patios, separate seating areas, a kitchenette and private bathrooms.
You can prepare your own feast in the cabin’s modern kitchen or enjoy gourmet dining at Karoline Restaurant, surrounded by artifacts from the eponymous freighter that once set out from the bay. On the jetty is another charming small bar with al-fresco dining.
The hotel includes a grocery/convenience store in the case of a self-catered option, conference and meeting facilities, wood fired hot-tub, sauna and a pub. Other facilities and recreational activities available on site include bicycle rentals, fishing and rowing or canoeing.
