At the entrance to Wilsons Promontory National Park Limosa Rise offers three self catering suites in a beautiful location; one of the most unspoilt wilderness areas in Victoria. This is an area that certainly deserves a few days of your time and Limosa Rise is the perfect base from which to explore.
Wilsons Promontory National Park is a beautiful coastal wilderness area of deserted sandy beaches, granite tours and stunning wildflowers. The mix of rainforest and heathland provides a natural habitat for an abundance of wildlife and kangaroos, wallabies, emus and wombats can be seen throughout the national park. Limosa Rise sits just 5 minutes drive from the park so perfect for day trips. To get a perspective on the sheer vastness of Wilsons Prom take a walk up to Vereker Outlook; the views are endless. From Melbourne the drive is around 2 ½ hours.
Limosa Rise offers two suites which can be one or two bedroomed plus a studio suite. All have kitchen facilities including a full oven and dishwasher, wood burning stove, air conditioning, outdoor deck with BBQ and living area. All of the accommodation has beautiful views of the Prom.
Limosa Rise is self catering, although there is no shortage of places to eat locally. We do recommend stocking up on items such as breakfast provisions before arrival.
With Wilsons Promontory National Park as your playground what more could you need? This region is Victoria’s largest coastal wilderness and is probably one of the state’s best loved parks. Criss-crossed by a network of walking trails this is Mother Nature as her finest. The park also extends off-shore to include the Wilsons Promontory Marine Park, a diver’s paradise with some spectacular underwater scenery and small islands which are home to penguins, seabirds and seals.
