Location
Occupying a prime position on the shores of Lake Como, Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni enjoys one of the most coveted addresses in Bellagio. Set at the meeting point of the lake's three branches, the hotel commands far-reaching views across the water towards the surrounding mountains. Beyond the hotel, Bellagio's cobbled streets are lined with boutiques, cafés and traditional trattorias, while regular ferries provide easy access to neighbouring lakeside towns such as Varenna and Tremezzo. Despite its tranquil setting, the hotel is only around an hour from Milan, making it an ideal base for exploring Northern Italy.
Accommodation
Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni's 94 rooms and suites showcase the timeless character of this historic property. Individually furnished with period furniture, original artworks and luxurious fabrics, they retain the atmosphere of a grand Italian residence while offering modern comfort. Guests can choose between views across Lake Como or outlooks over the hotel's gardens and Bellagio itself. For something special, the hotel offers four Signature Suites, each named after distinguished former guests. The celebrated JFK Suite can even be combined with adjoining rooms to create one of the largest suite accommodations on Lake Como.
Dining
Dining is a particular highlight here, with two distinct restaurants overlooking the lake. La Goletta, set beside the outdoor pool, serves classic Italian cuisine throughout the day in a relaxed lakeside setting. For a more refined experience, Michelin Guide-recognised Mistral pairs panoramic Lake Como views with innovative cuisine from Executive Chef Ettore Bocchia, widely recognised as a pioneer of Italian molecular gastronomy. Mornings begin in the magnificent Royal Hall, where a lavish buffet breakfast is served beneath crystal chandeliers, surrounded by historic frescoes and gilded decorative details.
Facilities
Set within private Italian-style gardens and benefiting from direct access to Lake Como, the hotel offers plenty of opportunities to relax between sightseeing excursions. Highlights include a large outdoor swimming pool and the recently refurbished Luce del Lago wellness centre. Opened in 2024, this contemporary spa features two heated indoor pools, a Finnish sauna, steam room, chromotherapy shower and dedicated relaxation areas. There is also a fitness facility and a menu of treatments using products from Italian wellness brand MEI. Throughout the hotel, attentive service complements facilities befitting one of Lake Como's most storied addresses.
