Location

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island is the only resort on Desroches Island, a small coral island that forms part of the Amirantes Islands group in the Outer Seychelles. The resort occupies the western end of the island, whose coastline offers 14 kilometres of pristine, white-sand beaches to explore. The island’s interior, meanwhile, is covered in dense tropical vegetation. Desroches lies around 230 kilometres southwest of Mahé, the largest island in the Seychelles – around a 35-40 minute flight away.

Accommodation

There are 67 luxurious villas and residences in total, each featuring an infinity pool, a spacious terrace, an outdoor rainfall shower and private gardens. Further amenities include the likes of bamboo-thatched cabanas, Espresso machines and marble-tiled bathrooms with Terres d’Afrique toiletries. Expect a blend of Creole and French design, with a predominantly cream-and-white colour palette, complemented by earthy tones, elegant wooden furnishings and tasteful artwork.

Villas range from one to seven bedrooms, with the largest ones featuring a fully-equipped kitchen, barbecue facilities, an indoor dining room, a private gym and a gazebo. Whichever accommodation you choose, you’ll never be more than a short stroll away from the beach.

Sumptuous Mediterranean dishes are served all throughout the day at Claudine, along with special themed dinners on certain days, showcasing everything from authentic Creole specialities and fresh, local seafood to traditional Lebanese cuisine. Ahi is the place to go for gourmet Japanese cuisine, while The Lighthouse doubles up as a beachfront grillhouse serving delicious meat and seafood dishes and a lounge bar where you can enjoy drinks and light snacks while gazing out towards the Indian Ocean. The main bar also serves as a relaxed spot for all manner of drinks and refreshments throughout the day.
