Unlike any other accommodation in the Maldives, the wonderful and completely unique accommodation at Cocoa Island by COMO blends tradition with modern amenities, comfort and style while offering total privacy. Each of the suites and villas offers its own private terrace with direct access to the crystal clear waters of the island's lagoon, air conditioning and ceiling fan, 42" television and DVD player, mini bar safe and luxurious bathroom with separate bath and shower while the largest COMO Villas also offer butler service.
Dining at Cocoa Island is a relaxed affair with the main restaurant Ufaa serving a menu of contemporary south Indian-influenced cuisine as well as a selection of Asian and Mediterranean specialties with seating by the resort's infinity pool, on the beach or in the comfort of your own villa. Faru bar serves light snacks, cocktails, wines and juices.
For pure relaxation, COMO Shambhala Retreat offers guests a host of holistic Asian-inspired treatments including Ayurveda, hosted in four relaxing treatment rooms, one of which is for couples. There are also separate male and female steam rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and an open-air pavilion for yoga.
We like: The traditional Dhoni-inspired overwater suites and villas are luxurious and unique in their design.
Best for: Couples and honeymooners seeking pure escapism.
