Travel some of the world’s most scenic tracks to Machu Picchu & Lake Titicaca

Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca, highlights of any visit to Peru, are linked by rail via Cuzco along some of the world’s highest and most scenic tracks.

Cuzco was both the centre of the Inca empire and a repository for the spoils of the conquistadors. It remains a fascinating city high in the peaks of the Andes. Enjoy three days exploring fortresses, markets and valleys before riding the Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu. Brunch is served aboard elegant blue and gold carriages, while on the return journey, after a night and a tour of the lost city, there are pre-dinner cocktails, live entertainment and a four-course à la carte dinner. Then take the Andean Explorer to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, a stunning ten-hour journey past grazing llamas and high Andean villages. You’ll have two full days amid the lakes floating reed islands and Indian peoples before returning to Lima.
