                                    Depart the UK for Québec City, you'll be met and transferred to hotel with the rest of your first day free to explore the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Founded at the beginning of the 17th-century by French explorer Samuel de Champlain, Quebec is one of the oldest European settlements in North America. This rich history is reflected in the architecture, particularly in the old part of the city, which is characterised by its narrow winding streets and stone buildings and dominated by the imposing form of Chateau Frontenac.

                                    Transfer to Hôtel de Glace, North America's only ice hotel. Here, imposing ceilings as high as five meters in places, along with intricate ice sculptures and ice furniture make this a fascinating place to stay. The thick walls act as the perfect windbreakers, helping to keep the hotel at a constant temperature of between minus two and minus five degrees. Experienced guides will help you make the most of your ice-hotel experience and a welcome briefing will help to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay and the hotel provides all the bedding you need to keep you warm and toasty. And, as an overnight guest, you'll have access to a Nordic relaxation area, complete with outdoor spas and sauna.

                                    Today you'll transfer to Québec's railway station for the journey to Montreal. Travelling in VIA Rail Business Class, you'll enjoy an at-your-seat service and lounge access in Québec City before you depart. On arrival in Montréal, make your way to your hotel located in the heart of the old town. You're close to a wealth of excellent shops and restaurants, the underground city as well as the Notre Dame Basillica.
