With a mother hailing from New York City and a father who worked for Oxfam, Becky began travelling at a young age, visiting such places as the US, Kenya, Tunisia, France, Italy and Spain. After completing a degree in Development Studies, she travelled to Costa Rica where she lived with a local family, learnt Spanish and helped to establish an eco-tourism venture. This was followed by a Masters in Responsible Tourism Management, then ten years living in California. In San Francisco, Becky worked for the NGO Child Family Health International, helping to send medical students to Bolivia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, South Africa and Nicaragua. In San Diego she worked for two hotels and a student travel agency. She returned to the UK in 2012 and soon joined Wexas, focusing on Europe and the America.
