New flights between the UK, Melbourne and Sydney have been launched by Qantas, which could benefit British holidaymakers travelling back from Australia.
The journeys are aboard the airline's A380 vehicles and will see four routes being implemented - two from Melbourne and two from Sydney - to London Heathrow via Singapore.
Chief executive officer of Qantas, Alan Joyce, said he and his firm are pleased to continue offering an itinerary through its A380 fleet, with the inaugural Melbourne to London flight departing yesterday (18 January).
He remarked: "More than 550,000 people have now flown on Qantas A380 services and it remains extremely popular with our customers."
The organisation currently operates 14 services between Melbourne and London, with two on the A380 and the remaining onboard the Boeing 747-400.
Qantas last month revealed it would be taking delivery of a fifth and sixth A380 plane to be used for the new routes.
