As you may have heard, British Airways has announced a recent criminal cyber-attack and the theft of some customer data, including credit card numbers, from its website and mobile app. The full BA announcement and latest information can be found here.
Our understanding is that only bookings and other financial transactions made directly with British Airways via www.ba.com or via the BA mobile app during the period from 22:58 on 21 August 2018 to 21:45 on 5 September 2018 could be potentially affected. As Wexas does not use these channels to book tickets British Airways has confirmed that no transactions made by Wexas are affected.
If, however, you have booked a ticket via Wexas and then subsequently paid for additional services such as pre-paid seating or purchased any other services directly from British Airways via ba.com or the BA mobile app during the affected period, your data may have been compromised. In this case, you should follow the advice that British Airways has provided for its customers on their information webpage.
