No-fly | Rail journey
Recall all the grandeur of the golden age of rail travel with one of the world’s finest trains – the Grand Hibernian. It’s old-world luxury at its best; expect dark-wood writing desks in your en-suite cabin, plush sofas and live music in the panoramic observation car, and Waterford crystal in the restaurant carriages. Throughout, you’ll be treated to an all-inclusive menu of gourmet dining, premium drinks and expert-led excursions, from a black-cab tour of Belfast to afternoon tea in a grand country manor. It's all prefixed by a luxury stay among Dublin’s rich heritage. This itinerary is also available with a no-fly option.
Day by day itinerary
If you've opted for the no-fly option, you'll begin with an included ferry hop from Holyhead, while those flying will be treated to complimentary airport lounge access. Either way, on arrival in Dublin, you’ll be met by a private driver and brought to the opulent Westbury hotel, all wool carpets and marble accents. Then, before sampling the 1930s elegance of its cocktail terrace, be sure to head out and explore Dublin’s myriad delights, with pretty St. Stephen’s Green and the great turrets of its famous castle just a short stroll away.

Dublin to Belfast
After breakfast today, you'll be able to check in to the Grand Hibernian from the comfort of your hotel before a private transfer to Heuston Station. Here, you'll settle into your opulent cabin before sampling the all-inclusive gourmet menus. From artisan cheeses to fresher-than-fresh fish, Irish breakfasts, two-course lunches and four-course dinners showcase the best in regional dining. It’s all washed down with open-bar indulgences. Then, sweeping through the Irish countryside, you’ll hop over the border to Belfast. Here, you’ll be treated to an evocative tour of the city’s famous murals and spectacular Victorian architecture in a true Belfast icon – a black taxi. You’ll also visit the Titanic Experience. This award-winning exhibition brings the whole ill-fated legend to life between full-scale reconstructions, dark rides and a full spread of special effects.

It’s the grand residence of the 9th marquis of Waterford and the idyllic setting for your afternoon tea. You’ll then continue to the House of Waterford Crystal for an expert-led tour, showcasing the work of the master craftsmen who create this world-famous glassware. Returning to the train, you’ll be treated to a final fine-dining supper before settling in to enjoy the entertainment hosted in the observation car. As with the previous night, there’s everything from craft sessions to animated storytellers, best enjoyed with a glass of fine Irish whiskey or local stout from the open bar.
