Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, India's frenetic capital city, where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the next day exploring Delhi – a fascinating blend of old and new and home to some of the country's most important landmarks. You'll begin your day in Old Delhi, where you'll discover narrow, twisting lanes filled to bursting with crowded bazaars. Elsewhere you'll find ancient monuments and exquisite architecture dating back as far as the Mughal Empire, the most famous of which – Delhi's magnificent Red Fort – is certainly one of India's most impressive sights. In the afternoon, take the metro across to New Delhi, where you'll discover wide boulevards, impressive government buildings and some of the city's most recognisable religious monuments, such as Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, which reflect the ethnic and religious diversity of India's capital.

Agra
Depart Delhi this morning and head to Agra by car where you'll spend one night. On arrival you'll check into your hotel before enjoying a full day tour of Agra, starting at India's most iconic landmark - the Taj Mahal. A spectacular white marble mausoleum, the Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1632 and 1653, in memory of his third wife Mumtaz Mahal and is recognised the world over as a poignant monument to love. Spend your morning wandering the lush gardens that surround the mausoleum, taking in the breathtaking design and craftsmanship that takes its influence from Islamic, Indian, Persian and Ottoman architectural styles. This afternoon you'll visit Agra Fort before driving through the city, passing many markets and street traders and soaking up the atmosphere and hustle and bustle of everyday life in this fascinating city.

Jaipur
After breakfast you'll leave Agra with your driver and guide and head south to Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan. The journey will take around six or seven hours, passing through the arid landscapes of India's northern plains. You'll stop along the way at Fatehpur Sikri, the imperial city of the Mughal dynasty between 1571 and 1584. The following day you'll have a full day to explore Jaipur. Begin with a half-day tour of the Amber Fort – one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture in India. Then, in the afternoon, a further guided tour will introduce you to the City Palace Museum, with its fine collection of Rajput and Mughal art, the City Palace Complex located within the ancient city walls, and the fascinating Jantar Mantar – an observatory dating back to 1726AD. There's also the Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds, a five storied façade with intricate carvings, latticed screens and a series of ornate domes and spires.
To make your stay all the more special, why not add on an extra couple of nights at the Alila Fort Bisangarh? Perched on a hill above the plains, this one-time warrior's fort has been impeccably converted into a luxury hotel complete with an opulent spa and lavish fine-dining restaurants.
