About

Recommended for:
City | History & culture | September holidays | Short break

Florence plays host to a clutch of famous museums with the Uffizi Gallery heading the list. Forty-five rooms are packed with masterpieces from the Renaissance, classical sculptures, prints and drawings so it's little wonder that you need to book in advance to avoid disappointment or long queues. Then, head to Rome where a Classical Rome Tour awaits, taking you to the city's must-see attractions and highlights of the city's 'centro storico' including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona among others. To complete this short break, we've included luxury hotel accommodation in both cities as well as first class train travel between Florence and Rome to ensure that the VIP treatment continues throughout your stay.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1
Florence

Fly from London to Pisa and transfer to the Hotel Brunelleschi situated overlooking an ancient square in central Florence, the perfect balance between modern comforts and the luxury of a bygone era.

Tonight why not try out the eating at the Santa Elisabetta, the two-Michelin Stars restaurant with Italian cuisine crafted with painstakingly selected ingredients by chef Rocco De Santis. For a more relaxed experience eat out in the square at Osteria Pagliazza, where in the shadow of the dome of Santa Maria del Flore you can sample Tuscany's culinary traditions with dishes and flavours representing the best of the area.
