The setting for three of Shakespeare's most famous plays, including of course Romeo and Juliet, the Roman city of Verona exudes Italian history and romance. Then, just two hours south by train is Florence, one of Italy's most beautiful cities. Renowned for its art, history and cuisine, the city wows with a rich array of Renaissance art at the world-famous Uffizi Gallery and some of Italy's most instantly recognisable architecture in the impressive Duomo and Ponte Vecchio bridge. This twin-centre holiday takes in both of these remarkable cities and includes accommodation at a selection of Italy's classic hotels - in the heart of Verona and a choice from our favourite properties, in the heart of Florence.
