Rail journey

This tailor-made itinerary brings together cosmopolitan cities and white sand beaches as you travel across Asia on the Eastern & Oriental Express. You'll explore the colonial history and slick modernity of Singapore, before boarding your luxury train for a journey of vintage excess through rural Malaysia into Thailand. Vibrant Bangkok is yours to explore, from where you'll transfer to Phuket and take a speedboat to your final destination, Koh Yao Yai. This little island is a slice of paradise, and you'll have five days to soak up the sun and sea, in between spa treatments and rejuvenating swims in your private pool.

Singapore

You'll check into the magnificent Fullerton Hotel, an icon of colonial style and perfectly located with views over the Singapore River or Marina Bay. You have two days to explore this unique city, which brings old and new together in everything from its food to its architecture. Take a stroll through the lush Gardens by the Bay, or the perfectly manicured Botanic Gardens - the only tropical gardens listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Or, head to Orchard Road for some world-class shopping, followed by a visit to one of the many traditional hawker centres in the city for some authentic local cuisine.
