This tour of the Baltics will take you from the imposing castle of Trakai to the natural beauty of the Curonian Spit, from stunning amber finds at Palanga to Viking burial sites in Grobina, from the Latvian Switzerland of Sigulda and into Estonia.
Day by day itinerary
UK to Vilnius
Begin your holiday with included airport lounge access before your flight out to Vilnius where you'll meet your tour guide and your travelling companions. Enjoy a walking exploration of vibrant Vilnius, including the nearby Amber Museum. Continue to the Gediminas Tower before soaking up the sights of Cathedral Square.
Next morning visit the fantastic Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania before departing for the nearby town of Trakai to explore the stunning 14th century lake-castle, the day will also include a visit to the Karaite Ethonographic Museum.

After breakfast transfer to the fantastic archaeological site of Kernave and visit its impressive archaeological museum, then continue westwards to Lithuania's second largest city, Kaunas, and explore the castle.
Stroll around the historic city of Klaipeda, including the Castle Museum and lunch in the beuatiful open Theatre Square. The heart of the city has played home to both culture and villans alike, once hosting Adolf Hitler for a rally at the outbreak of World War 2.
Take the ferry across to the Curonian Spit and travel down the spine of the unusual geographic feature to the charming sea-side town of Nida.
Take a leisurely stroll through the local gardens of Palanga before visiting the impressive Museum of Amber. Continue north and cross into Latvia where a visit to Grobina is included with a brief walk around its lake, ruins of a medieval castle, and Viking burial grounds.
In Kuldiga, stroll through the historic town centre, boasting unique 17th and 18th century architecture. Soak up the wonderful vista of the River Venta and Europe's widest natural rapid. Continue to the nation's capital, Riga
Next morning enjoy a walking tour of Riga's historic old town with visits to St. Peter's Church, Riga Cathedral, the Three Brothers' and the National Museum before having some leisure time in the afternoon to further explore the historic city.
A day of castles! An early jaunt to Sigulda; known as the Switzerland of Latvia, this town boasts some beautiful views including the impressive castle ruins. Continue to Cesis where to visit the 13th century castle.
Journey on the picturesque narrow gauge railway to Aluksne, in the Latvian highlands and nestled on the shores of an expansive lake. Cross the border into beutiful Estonia before arriving at Tartu.

Estonia's second largest city sits on the banks of the River Emajogi, which connects the country's two largest lakes. Enjoy a leisurely walking tour of Tartu's sights, including the Museum of Classical Arts & Antiquities, the old town and the Toome Hill ruins of the old Dome Church. After lunch visit the Estonian National Museum before continuing to Tallinn, the capital.
Tallinn is considered one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. Start in the picturesque old town, where the whole district dates back to the Middle Ages. The tour includes Toopea Castle, the 13th century Dome Church and many other sites of interest.
After a final breakfast and maybe a quick coffee in one of Tallinn's buzzing cafes, transfer to the airport in time for your return flight back to the UK.
