This no-fly itinerary will see you from the UK to Ireland by ferry, complete with premium lounge access, before embarking on a luxurious journey onboard the Belmond Grand Hibernian. From the delights of Dublin's lively streets to the picturesque Irish countryside, there's plenty to see, including a black-cab tour of Belfast and afternoon tea in a country estate. Paired with luxury dining and drinks onboard, you'll be transported back to a golden era of travel.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1
UK to Dublin

You'll begin with an included ferry hop from Holyhead. As you cross the Irish Sea, relax in the comfort of your two-bed Window Suite cabin, with included Club Class Irish Ferries Lounge access. When you arrive into Dublin, a private driver will bring you directly to the elegant Westbury hotel, voted 'Best Hotel in Ireland' in the Condé Nast Traveler 2019 Reader's Choice Awards. Relax with a cocktail on the terrace before heading out into Dublin – Grafton Street, the creative quarter and Dublin Castle are right on your doorstep.

Day 2
Dublin to Belfast

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before a private transfer to Heuston Station to board the Belmond Grand Hibernian. You'll be taken to your private cabin to settle in, before the train sets off on a journey through the Irish countryside across the border into Belfast. Along the way, you'll enjoy everything from multi-course lunches to a gourmet dinner, accompanied by an open bar. Once in Belfast, you'll take a tour of the city's iconic sights in an authentic black Taxi and visit the Titanic Experience, which brings the past back to life through a series of fascinating exhibitions and reconstructions.

Day 3

After a night spent in the comfort of your private cabin, you'll awake to views of rural Ireland as breakfast is served. On arrival in Waterford, Ireland's oldest city, you'll tour Curraghmore House, an 18th-century estate nestled among 2,500 acres. Enjoy an elegant afternoon tea here before continuing on to the House of Waterford Crystal, where a guided tour will see you discovering the secrets of the master craftsman who create the world's most famous glassware. Back onboard the Grand Hibernian, you'll enjoy a final dinner in the restaurant car before moving to the observation car for some regional entertainment, best accompanied by an Irish whiskey from the bar.

Day 4
Dublin to the UK

You'll return to Dublin today, and after a final indulgent breakfast onboard the Grand Hibernian, you'll disembark the train. Spend the day at leisure in Dublin, exploring its lively streets and wandering through art galleries and museums. Make sure you try a stout at one of the myriad Irish pubs – a rite of passage. Later, your private driver will meet you and bring you to the ferry port for your sailing back to the UK. Onboard, you'll enjoy the same premium cabin comforts and Club lounge access as your outward journey.
