The sheer scale of the Bay of Islands’ twisting mass of carpeted atolls and the wilds of New Zealand’s northern reaches are best appreciated from the air. This half-day trip will see you fly north over spectacular harbours and famous beaches to Cape Reinga. New Zealand’s northernmost tip. On arrival, a driving tour will then introduce you to the region’s historic lighthouses, bays and swimming beaches as you enjoy a light refreshment and the chance to sled down the giant Te Paki sand dunes. The return flight includes the white silica and crystal-clear water of some of Northland’s most impressive coastal scenery, much of which is only visible by air or sea.
