Explora Journeys

Explora Journeys represents the ambition and long-held dream of the MSC Group and the Aponte-Vago family to create a transformative luxury ocean travel experience and brand that redefines the luxury cruise category.

The concept: Vibrant, cosmopolitan, relaxed European luxury at sea. Instead of cruises, we create journeys – of the mind, and across the oceans of the world, to destinations on and off the beaten track.

On board: Spaces that offer guests relaxed luxury, creating a home at sea. Restoring life’s essential balance with a combination of discovery and appreciation for wellbeing and nature. This is what our new discerning travellers have asked for and this is what they will enjoy on Explora Journeys.

Our newest ship, the highly anticipated EXPLORA IV, will make her debut in Summer 2027.

Redefining the essence of ultra-elegant ocean travel, her inaugural journeys will draw new maps in treasured coastlines, from the dramatic landscapes of Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea, to the captivating beauty of Iceland and Greenland and the vibrant shores of North America’s East Coast and New England.

In another first, EXPLORA III awakens new horizons charting a bold course to Alaska’s untamed wilds.

Alaska is vast, wildly remote and striking with its true raw beauty. From blue-ice glaciers to hulking brown and black bears, we sail the Whale’s Highway to encounter humpbacks, orcas, dolphins and seals.

Meanwhile, EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II will create fresh memories in our beloved Mediterranean.

Celebrating its enduring allure while embracing the contrasts of Eastand West, tracing storied coastlines and revealing both charismatic cities and lesser-travelled destinations. Thoughtfully crafted with flexibility and extended stays, our journeys allow for a gentler pace and deeper immersion, inviting deeper immersion at a slower pace — to savour golden hours that feel timeless.
