On arrival into Singapore, you'll be met for a shared transfer to your luxury cruise ship. Then, once you've settled into your suite, you'll have the rest of the day to explore. Take in its cultural melting pot with a stroll through the streets of China Town and Little India, then head down to Orchard Road to experience one of the world's greatest shopping destinations. Arrive into Cooktown on the remote Cape York Peninsula – the site of Australia’s first European settlement. Named after that most famous of South Sea explorers, the town, and its Cook’s Pillar, marks the spot where his ship, The Endeavour, made land in 1770. Head ashore today for a short trek to the summit of Grassy Hill for 360° panorama of the surrounding countryside and coast. As the gateway to the northern Great Barrier Reef, Cairns has long been an important stop on Australia's east coast tourist trail. You might choose to stay central, calling in for a drink or lunch at a sophisticated rooftop restaurant or bar, or head to the outskirts to take in Moreton Bay's golden sands or visit Australia Zoo, made famous by the former TV icon Steve Irwin. It's a truly memorable entrance as you sail into the world's most famous harbour, flanked by the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the billowing white sails of the Sydney Opera House. As you drop anchor, it's time to say good bye to your fellow voyagers and the crew who've looked after you so well during the past 20 days. But, your adventure doesn't have to end here, with the option of a post-cruise tour that will introduce you not only to the sights and sounds of the city, but also the nearby Blue Mountains – a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage-listed region home to an abundance of native Australian wildlife. If you must head home, however, then an included transfer will be on hand to take you to the airport for your overnight flight home, arriving in the UK on day 21.
