Make next Christmas one to remember with this luxury cruise that will see you soak up the melange of traditions, culture and burgeoning modernity in some of the Middle East and India's most exciting destinations. You'll start among the glitz and glamour of Dubai, home to everything from the world's tallest building to the world's biggest mall. It's here you'll embark the luxury Sirena, where four fine-dining restaurants and a luxury spa provide all the delights as you sail between Abu Dhabi's impressive monuments, Oman's ancient forts and jostling souk traders and the paradisiacal islands of the Maldives, where you'll spend two sun-soaked days. Just remember to make time for onboard indulgences including traditional afternoon teas, sundowners and dips in the pool. Then, after pausing at India's Cochin fishing villages and palm-lined Goa beaches, it's time to disembark for a private, five-day tour of India's famed Golden Triangle. Expect everything from sunrises at the iconic Taj Mahal to fascinating city tours, alongside stays at some of India's most luxurious properties.
Day by day itinerary
After beginning your trip in style with included VIP airport lounge access, you'll fly overnight to Dubai, arriving the following day where you'll be met and transferred to the ship port to embark Sirena. Settle in to your opulent, silk-lined stateroom before taking the chance to go and explore Dubai. This ultra-modern city of superlatives is home to, among other feats, the world's largest mall and tallest building, set against ultra-luxe hotels and world-class restaurants. It doesn't forget its traditional Arabian heritage, though, showcased in the spectacular Jumeirah Mosque, winding alleys of old Dubai and UNESCO-listed Sharjah and its vibrant souks.

Wake up on day four to Abu Dhabi, a city almost as extravagant as its neighbouring Dubai. Take advantage of a whole host of exciting excursions that can be arranged directly from the ship, whether you simply want to stroll along its yacht-dotted marina, explore its old souks or head out on a desert safari. Perhaps return this evening for a dip in the pool before indulging in one of the ship's four restaurants, whether you're after traditional French fare in the opulent Grand Dining Room or the likes of spicy roast duck and Thai curries among the dark-wood panels and cosy corners of Red Ginger. Plus, don't forget that this journey also offers a choice between eight complimentary shore excursions, a drinks package or $800 onboard credit to enhance your trip even further – just let us know beforehand which you'd like.

Al Fujayrah & Muscat
The next two days will see you explore the deserts, forts and buzzing souks of Al Fujayrah and Muscat. The only Emirate on the Gulf of Oman rather than the Persian Gulf means Fujairah has everything from golden beaches to deep-sea fishing and snorkelling. Head out on camel rides in the desert, relax on mountain-framed beaches or enjoy a fascinating city tour where you'll explore ancient forts that lie between rugged mountains. Then, day six is a true trip highlight as you get the chance to explore the city of Muscat, from tours around the spectacular Sultan's palace to drives along the ultra-scenic Batinah coast that passes sweeping deserts and fishing villages.

You've got two full days at sea to explore the ship, whether you simply want to lounge on the pool deck with a cocktail, enjoy a relaxing spa treatment or take in a lecture by a destination expert. We particularly recommend an indulgent afternoon tea accompanied by a live string quarter and those panoramic ocean views before perhaps sampling filet mignon and Maine lobster at the ship's new steakhouse, or for something more casual, fresh sushi on the Terrace restaurant's outdoor deck. Come evening, there's chances to try your hand at gambling at the casino, as well as enjoying a nightcap at one of the four convivial bars.

After your days at sea, the chance to relax among the white sands and crystal-clear waters of the Maldives is a welcome one. You'll have two days to explore Malé, whether you want to head out on snorkelling and boat trips or simply relax on the beach, watching for stingrays and the fishing dhonis returning with the day's catch. If time allows, we also recommend calling in to the spectacular Friday Mosque that was built in the mid-1600s. End each day with ultra-fresh seafood and sundowners before day 12 sees you enjoy another full day at sea; perhaps enjoy breakfast in your suite before taking in an onboard lecture or visiting the spa for an indulgent treatment.

Anchor in to Cochin today for your first glimpse of India. This is a fantastic chance for souvenir shopping among Cochin's myriad markets and bazaars, and it's well worth heading on a city tour excursion for a stroll among its ramshackle ports, atmospheric medieval quarter and colonial architecture. Plus, don't miss a glimpse of the famed Chinese fishing nets, floating in what is one of the world's finest natural harbours.

Mangalore & Goa
Sail in to Mangalore today with a full day to explore. We recommend a visit to the famed Karkala and Moodbidri temples, after which there's the chance to experience the life of a typical Mangalorean family, as you enjoy local food in their home. Day 15 will see you head to the golden beaches of Goa, a laid-back Portuguese and Hindu city studded with vibrant temples, churches and idyllic beaches. Don't miss a visit to the stunning Baroque cathedral and quaint, colourful Panjim for a taste of what's known as 'Portuguese India'.

Drop anchor in the buzzing metropolis of Mumbai, India's fulcrum of business, fashion and Bollywood filmmaking built around shopping, glitz and glamour. Perhaps the best-known attraction is Elephanta Island, with cave temples and a massive three-faced sculpture of Shiva, one of India's finest examples of Hindu architecture. Explore it all with the ship's included excursions, such as a city tour that'll see you discover the Jain and Hindu temples, Hanging Gardens, Gandhi Memorial Museum and the magnificent Victoria Station. Perhaps toast your final night onboard tonight with pianist-accompanied after-dinner drinks with new-found friends.
