Day 2
Mytilini (Lesbos), Greece

Officially named Lesbos but also referred to as Mytilini after its principal city, this island is the third largest in Greece and is famed for its olive oil. Its hills are said to support 11 million olive trees, while the higher peaks are swathed in deep pine forests. It was the birthplace of leading figures in the intellectual world, such as Sappho, the world’s greatest lyrical poetess; Pittacus, one of the Seven Sages of antiquity; the poet Alcaeus and many, many others.

Day 3
Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey

Europe’s classical metropolis, Ephesus, was one of the largest cities in all of the Roman Empire, boasting one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis. Explore the ruins of its massive theatre, the Temple of Hadrian and the magnificent Celsus Library.

Day 4
Heraklion (Crete), Greece

The capital city of Greece’s largest island, Heraklion is close to a couple of Crete’s must-see sights; the state-of-the-art Heraklion Archaeological Museum, home to treasures of Minoan civilization and finds covering over 5,500 years of Crete’s history; and the Palace of Knossos, a centre of Minoan power that dates back to 2000 BC which is revered as the location of the mythic Minotaur’s Labyrinth. Take in the harbour views from Iraklion’s 13th-century fortress and revitalized waterfront, where ‘fish taverns’ serve authentic Cretan dishes like sweet or salty kaltsounia washed down with raki, Crete’s local spirit.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik was founded in the 7th century by refugees from Epidaurum (today’s Cavtat). It is known worldwide for its unique marble-paved squares, tall houses, steep-cobbled streets and fountains. The city walls, once used to as protection against its enemies, now keep motorists at bay, making strolling a real pleasure. UNESCO named the Old City a World Heritage Site and Dubrovnik’s beautiful historic buildings and squares have been restored to their former glory.

Day 7
Kotor, Montenegro

Kotor located in a most secluded part of Montenegro's spectacular Gulf of Kotor. The old port, surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the House of Nemanjicc, is very well preserved and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Numerous other attractions include the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon in the old town (built in 1166), and ancient walls which stretch directly above the city.

Day 8
Corfu, Greece

Legendary Corfu is a lush and romantic island, written about by Homer in his famous Odyssey. The island’s history is full of battles, indicative of Corfu’s turbulent position that lasted until modern times with unification with modern Greece in 1864. Corfu offers a combination of cosmopolitan and time-honoured Greece. As well as a flower-strewn countryside and Adriatic-style villages, Corfu has beautiful coastal scenery and some excellent secluded beaches.

Day 9
Crotone, Italy

Crotone has had a long and eventful history. Among the most-renowned sites, the Castle of Charles V is situated in the ancient part of the city, as is the nearby Cathedral, which hosts important and precious artisan works. Along the fortified walls of the castle are the historic city centre and the National Archaeological Museum, which exhibits unique items, including Hera’s treasures. Just a few miles from the city, visit the archaeological area of Capo Colonna, where the ancient temple of Hera Lacinia once stood. From here you will have a choice of a wide choice excursions, with many taking you off the beaten-track, including visits to family-owned wineries, historic castles and Roman ruins.

Day 10
Valletta, Malta

The entirety of Valletta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from the 19th century Mosta Dome to the San Anton Palace Gardens. We'd highly recommend a trip to the rugged coastline of the Dingli Cliffs, nearby Mdina and its Baroque cathedral and the beautiful island of Gozo and its sea caves. For a tranquil afternoon, stroll the San Anton Palace Gardens, artistically laid out in Three Villages - Attard, Lija and Balzan.

Cruising the Tyrrhenian Sea

You'll have a further full day at sea today to explore all the ship has to offer. Perhaps lounge on the pool deck with a cocktail before a barbecue lunch at the Pool Grill and a massage at the spa. Or browse the collection of books in the library before honing your golfing skills on the putting green.

Day 12
Sorrento & Capri, Italy

As is true of the rest of the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento is built on a coast with breathtaking views and landscapes - arguably one of Europe's most beautiful towns. Yet it's houses, people and the entire region are filled with a history and culture so deep that it can be traced back to the 11th century BC. Overlooking the bay of Naples, the town is the key point on the Sorrentine Peninsula and is one of the most popular destinations of the entire Campania region. Alternatively, from here you can take a day trip to Capri, one of the most celebrated Italian islands noted for its natural beauty, or spend the day at the remarkably well-preserved ruins of the ancient city Pompeii.
