Day by day itinerary

Day 1
UK to Monte Carlo

You’ll begin your trip in style with included VIP airport lounge access before flying to Monte Carlo. This glitzy region in Monaco enchants with its enormous yachts, glittering nightlife, casinos and wealth of celebrities. Yet look past its glamour and you’ll also find impressive architecture, old-world wonders and a rich art heritage, from museums to cathedrals to palaces. Head to the Palais du Prince, home of the royal family, to catch the changing of the guard before taking your included transfer to the port to embark the Regent Seven Seas Explorer. Your luxury suite will be comprised of opulent mahogany furnishings and a marble and stone bathroom, with the most luxurious on offer featuring two private balconies and an outdoor jacuzzi. The opulence continues throughout – you’ll be treated to a sprawling pool deck with whirlpool tubs, a luxury spa, and all-inclusivity to be enjoyed in eight gourmet restaurants and any of the luxury bars. A wealth of other onboard amenities also await – try your hand at a cooking class or enrich your mind with fascinating lectures. Perhaps enjoy your first evening exploring the ship before a visit to the luxurious Pan-Asian Pacific Rim restaurant in keeping with the glamorous surroundings on land.

Day 2

Portofino is Italian coastal beauty at its finest, with mismatched coloured houses sitting prettily along a yacht-lined harbour, framed by azure-blue waters and lush green hills. The tiny fishing village is popular but soak up the buzzing atmosphere with a drink at a waterfront bar before exploring all the area has to offer, perhaps with a stroll through the cobbled Piazzetta square or a walk up to the Castello Brown fortress for panoramic views. Take advantage of the host of tours offered by the ship with a trip to scenic Genoa, part of the picturesque Italian Riviera, or rent your own car to explore the village and surrounding coastal towns. Back on board, take the chance to enjoy a massage before indulging in a meal at candlelit Sette Mari at La Veranda for exquisite Italian fare, or perhaps Prime 7, which offers succulent steaks in a metal, glass and granite décor setting is more your scene.

Today you’ll reach France in the form of Antibes, a town of many facets, with larger-than-life yachts sitting alongside cobbled streets framed by the turquoise Cote d’Azur. Explore the old town and 16th century fortress Fort Carré before a visit to the fascinating Picasso Museum, then perhaps head out on an optional trip to the stunning curves of Cannes, where you’ll discover the Palais des Festivals of Cannes Film Festival fame and lavender field field-framed Grasse. Or perhaps you’d rather embark on a wine tasting tour through Old Nice or explore its local markets – the choice is yours and all can be arranged from the comfort of the ship.

Picturesque Provence is all endless fields of lavender, olive groves and jagged mountains, with the shimmering Cote d'Azur in its surrounds. Discover its capital, Marseille, with a city walking tour, where you'll pass impressive cliffs, museums and ports, or enjoy a day in the Provencal charm of hilltop Gordes, rich with ancient white-stone buildings and endless labyrinths of cobbled streets. Or perhaps you'll want to explore ancient Avignon, boasting a fascinating history seen round every corner in medieval squares and monuments – whichever you choose, be sure to find time to sample some of that famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the hills of the countryside, or back on deck with a French sunset as your backdrop.

Day 5

Reaching the Spanish border today sees you arriving in the pretty fishing port of Port-Vendres, frame by red rocks and sandy beaches. Take the opportunity to experience true French medieval architecture and picturesque countryside with a visit to Carcassonne, a fortified hilltop city surrounded by greenery comprised of 19th century churches and squares. The stunning Ceret is also worth a visit, containing the Musee d’art Modern with vineyards and farms as its backdrop. This evening perhaps sample Chartreuse, evocative of a Parisian fine dining restaurant, or enjoy a casual dinner on the Pool Deck before a game of cards and a cocktail in one of the ship's opulent bars, such as the black marble setting of the Explorer Lounge.

Day 6
Palma de Mallorca

Today sees you disembarking in Spain to explore the beautiful Palma. Market-lined public squares, medieval courtyards and waterfronts framed by honey-coloured stone are dwarfed by the imposing Gothic Cathedral that dominates the city. Palma is perfectly explored with a walking tour through the city, or hop on a vintage train to the dramatic scenery of Soller deep in the picturesque Sierra de Tramutana Valley. This evening, perhaps enjoy some boutique shopping or take an evening dip in the infinity pool before an evening in the opulent Constellation Theatre, where you'll sit in cabaret-style seats with a post-dinner cocktail while enjoying an enthralling musical.

This port city is a metropolis of contrasts, with long stretches of beach and water-lined parks sitting alongside futuristic structures and museums. Visit the historic Central Holy Chalice before comparing the architecture of modern sites such as the City of Arts and Sciences, the largest scientific and cultural complex in Europe. Explore the city with panoramic tours and bike rides through downtown Valencia, or go wine tasting and explore medieval caves. Enjoy your final evening on board with a sunset sundowner on deck before an exquisite dinner in one of the many restaurants you still may not have sampled, such as the ice-blue lighting that sets the scene in Compass Rose, featuring a customisable menu. Or, even indulge in a gourmet dinner delivered course by course in your suite, before some drinks in the opulent Observation Lounge with new-found friends.
